Privacy Policy

This is a draft, not a finished legal agreement.

Poliwog collects only what an account needs: an email address, a password stored by the authentication provider, a display name, and anything you choose to post.

What we store

If you create an account, Supabase Auth stores the email and a password hash. Your profile can include a username, an optional affiliation, a state code, a preset icon, and a photo you upload. Affiliation stays private unless you turn on “show affiliation.”

Posts, comments, votes, quiz results, follows, friend requests, and reports are stored so the feature you used can be shown again. A solution vote keeps the affiliation you had at that moment.

What we do not do

Poliwog does not sell personal information. The shop sends you to Amazon. Amazon’s own policy covers that visit. The associate tag in the link tells Amazon the referral came from Poliwog.

Cookies

A signed-in session uses cookies so you stay signed in. Guest quiz answers can stay in this browser only, until you save them to a profile.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, hide affiliation, and ask for a password reset email. To delete an account, write to the address Eric publishes after review of this draft.
